Text obscured by overwhelming sound. Yearning for the touch of the divine
A non-visual choreography exploring touch and text as choreographical elements.
Meandering on the brink of sleep and waken dream.
Playing on and shifting the perceived direction of gravity.
Blindfolded the audience as spectator is denied of their visual sense.
Other senses might become enhanced and their skin the canvas for an abstract, non-linear, multi textured touch.
Whilst they’re invited to listen to the meandering loops of acoustic sounds with intermingling text. Words telling of spatial and emotive displacements.
Of bodies, thoughts and of the forces of nature and human underground seismic movements.

Concerns before the confrontation.
Contemplation, holding of breath, preparation, cold sweaty hands and reassessment.
Kneeling before the jump. It is an abstract movement piece, a dance solo in which A. Lord danced hirself. It investigating movements of confession, prayer and amends. A respectful abstract touch that invites to give up ones physical autonomy.
A storytelling touch which evokes a state of revery.
The sense of reality shifts.
The relief of resignation.

This is a choreography that takes place on and in interaction with each individual audience members body.
And therefore it changes with the reactions towards it of every individual participating audience member.
Music surrounding and intermingling with the touch, made by composer Ann Rosén.

More than this is a video work made in collaboration with choreographer and dancer Malin Ångman to music made for the piece by composer Johan Boberg.
The piece departed in a sense of deep listening.
Where every movement was a response to the other.

Filmed in Gothenburg in December 2008, edited by Anna Lord at EMS, Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm throughout 2009-2010.
Showed in October 2010 at Fylkingen, Stockholm and at Dansdag at Fisksätra Folkets Hus in November 2010.

Squeerdance

Anarchy and dissonance.
Four performance/dance makers gather to explore roles and conventions in a site specific performance at a square at Stockholm Culture Festival.
They chose to locate their performance amongst the people passing.

Enwrapped in their own trajectories with their own personal agendas. People try and make their individual ways through a crowd. With no common goal and little regard for the common well-being, the others needs and whereabouts.
A faceless mass of strangers to jostle through oblivious of the possibility to get met at any level by anyone of these unknown.
The performers stay stuck in their individual routines with rare encounters with one another and the people passing. Momentarily breaking the city code of solitary insolence.

Kept together by electroacustic music played live by Jan Liljekvist and Daniel Karlsson.
